One simple practice to help you feel like YOU MATTER

Kia ora and hello valued reader

    What do you need today?

Take a pause to reflect on that.

Don't just think about it in your head.

Tune into your heart and your body and ask them that question too.

    Notice what comes up.

You may like to write it down, or draw it in a journal.

Now, what is one way you can give yourself what you need today?

How often do you pause to think about what you need today in that way? Maybe occasionally. Maybe this was the first time.

What would it feel like to do that every morning?

How would that make a difference in terms of how you planned your day and how you feel about yourself?

When you take a moment to think about what you need like that you are telling yourself that YOU MATTER, that your needs are important and that you can take time for yourself.

    Small shifts. Big benefits

    Simple steps. Better living

Sometimes you don't need more information, you just need a prompt to do what is most important to you rather than getting stuck in what is urgent, expected or asked of you.

Sometimes you simply need an invitation that becomes permission.

This practice is connected to one of the four key questions that I give you in this week's article and podcast for reducing your sense of rush and creating a more meaningful and enjoyable life. Click the links below to find out what the four questions are.

    Remember:

    Simple can be effective.

You don't need to know everything. You just need to know and do the things that are important to you. One simple thing practiced daily is enough.

    That's how effective change happens.
